Vilnius restaurant LOKYS has been opened since 1972. It is the oldest restaurant in Vilnius Old Town, currently run by the second generation of the same family. We specialize in historical traditional Lithuanian cuisine, so our menu, tastings and interior narrate olden stories of Lithuanian noblemen, who feasted on forest foods like berries, mushrooms, nuts, and game.
Our goal is to take a new look at old forest foods, which nourished Lithuanian nobility, and give them a modern twist. We guide you through the history of local cuisine and offer dishes with reference to a certain century and related historical facts.
The restaurant recently opened a small deli shop with selected Lithuanian delicacies and drinks. They are produced by small local farmers and producers and offer a glimpse into continuation (and change) of Lithuanian culinary heritage.
Our menu offers wild game (venison, boar, beaver meat), natural forest foods: berries, mushrooms, nuts and other local specialities.
Our outdoor terrace offers a peaceful setting to enjoy your meal outdoors and is open throughout the high season.
Explore authentic 15th century Merchant House, its olden Gothic cellars and a Baroque hall with restored original 18th century frescoes.
