At Lokys – the oldest restaurant in Vilnius Old Town, set inside a 15th-century merchant’s house with original Gothic cellars – our guided Lithuanian food tasting takes you on a journey through centuries of culinary tradition. Taste wild game meat, forest mushrooms, artisan rye bread, traditional honey mead or honey liqueur once served at the tables of Lithuanian Grand dukes.
Unlike a typical Vilnius food tour, this is an immersive, sit-down experience in one of city’s most atmospheric dining rooms. Lokys specializes in historic Lithuanian and wild game cuisine – including rare dishes like beaver stew, venison meat and boar meat roasts – inspired by the kitchens of the medieval Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
